An Analysis of Online Learning Method Design for Theological Education in the Digital Age: A Systematic Literature Review Approach

This study aims to analyse the development and design of an online curriculum for theological education in the digital era through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Data was collected using Publish or Perish 8 software from Google Scholar, with the keywords “theological education in the digital era” and “online curriculum design” within the publication range of 2014 to 2024. From the initial 200 pieces of literature identified, a rigorous screening process was conducted based on title, abstract, and keywords, resulting in 23 relevant articles. Next, a thorough analysis of the full content of the articles was conducted based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in the selection of 11 articles suitable for further study. The results revealed various trends, challenges, and strategies in the development of online curriculum for theological education, including the integration of digital pedagogy, contextual theological frameworks, and learner-centred learning models. This study provides an integrated understanding of how theological education institutions are responding to digital transformation and provides a basis for future curriculum innovation.

This study aims to examine how foster children redefine their self-identity after being fostered at the Special Children’s Development Institution. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a sociological research type. In this study, the researcher used Peter Berger's social construction theory to examine the process of constructing the self-identity of foster children and George Herbert Mead's theory to examine how interaction through symbols affects the process of redefining the self-identity of foster children. The results of the study: first, Dialectics in the social environment of the Special Children’s Development Institution defines children's self-identity with values instilled in thought patterns and actions, second, self-awareness is formed through spiritual guidance which then helps foster children define themselves, third, fulfillment of physical, spiritual needs, assistance, attention, protection and support from the social environment and parents in the foster institution makes foster children aware of the limitations in interacting with others.

Makna Qaşd as-Sabīl dalam Al-Qur’an: Analisis Semantik Toshihiko Izutsu

This study aims to examine the interconnection of these meanings as a unified semantic structure using Toshihiko Izutsu’s Qur’anic semantic approach. This qualitative library research gathers data from tafsir works, Arabic dictionaries, and literature related to Izutsu’s semantic theory. The findings reveal that the basic meaning of qaşd as-sabīl is “the intended purpose of a path,” which, in its semantic relations, may refer to the straight path, salvation, guidance, Islamic law, and others. Historically, the meaning evolved from a general context (pre-Qur’anic), to more theological and specific (Qur’anic), and then to interpretive and contextual meanings (post-Qur’anic). The worldview behind this term shifted from general life purposes to the mission of conveying Islamic teachings. The diversity of interpretations is due to a structured relationship between its core meaning and its relational meanings shaped by semantic networks, historical context, and worldview constructions. Therefore, Izutsu’s semantic approach proves effective in revealing the complex and profound dimensions of qaşd as-sabīl in the Qur’an.

This study aims to analyze ulama perspectives on prayer water use based on fiqh studies and Thibbun Nabawi, explore medical personnel views on prayer water potential as complementary therapy, and identify convergence points between religious and medical approaches in using prayer water for healing. The study employed a qualitative approach with exploratory study design. Findings show significant convergence between religious and medical perspectives. Ulama provide theological foundation through QS Al-Anbiya verse 30 and Thibbun Nabawi practices, positioning prayer water as wasilah in seeking healing efforts. Medical personnel acknowledge placebo effects and psychological dimensions of prayer water through psychoneuroimmunology mechanisms. Both perspectives agree that belief and positive suggestion play important roles in healing, with prayer water functioning as complementary therapy that does not replace primary medical treatment. This integration opens opportunities for developing holistic healthcare models that accommodate spiritual values without neglecting evidence-based medicine principles.

This study examines the phenomenon of social inequality trends on TikTok through the perspective of Tafsir al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab. It explores how Shihab interprets Qur'anic verses to construct a comprehensive understanding of social justice. The findings show that the trend of social inequality on TikTok reflects real and structural disparities in Indonesian society, particularly in terms of wealth, education, and employment. These digital representations highlight a deep-rooted crisis of justice that goes beyond economics. Shihab’s interpretations emphasize Islamic values such as justice (‘adl), balance (al-mīzān), and collective responsibility as foundational principles for addressing inequality. His readings of verses like QS. Al-Hasyr: 7, QS. Az-Zumar: 9, and QS. Al-Isra’: 35 offer an ethical and spiritual framework for understanding inequality as a moral issue. Thus, the findings affirm that Tafsir al-Mishbah can serve as a theological reference for raising collective awareness and developing solutions to the normalization of injustice in the digital era.

The concepts of free will and bound will are important theological issues that have been debated since the time of the Church Fathers through the Reformation era and remain relevant in postmodern discourse. This study aims to analyze the views of Augustine and Martin Luther on the relationship between human freedom and bondage, particularly in the context of sin, grace, and salvation. Using a qualitative method with a literature review approach, this study examines relevant primary and secondary works to compare the two perspectives. The findings reveal that Augustine acknowledges the corrupted human will yet retains the capacity to respond to grace, while Luther emphasizes the total bondage of human will to original sin, rendering humanity incapable of choosing good without divine grace. As a synthesis, the concept of BondFree Will is introduced to bridge the tension between the freedom to choose and bondage to sinful nature, emphasizing that true freedom can only be found in bondage to God's grace.

The purpose of this study is to describe the construction of tweets on the X @Pontifex account (January to April 2025), to describe Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis of Pope Francis' tweets (posts) on the X @Pontifex account. This study is a qualitative study using the critical discourse analysis method of the Teun A. Van Dijk model. The results of the study show that Pope Francis' servant leadership has the following characteristics: listening, teaching, empathy, healing, awareness, persuasion, conceptualization, futuristic, management, commitment, and building community. Macrostructure is related to the topic: gratitude, brotherhood, peace, exemplary, service, love, forgiveness, repentance, humanity, diplomacy of truth, forgiveness, freedom and justice. Superstructure is done by placing it at the beginning of the paragraph as an emphasis. Microstructure includes semantics, syntax, stylistics and rhetoric. Semantically, the meaning is conveyed explicitly or directly. Through @Pontifex, Pope Francis calls for peace and the values of life. As a spiritual leader, the Pope integrates technology in carrying out his ministry duties. This inspires leaders that spiritual leadership, servant leadership are synergistic with leadership in the digital era.

Makna Ritual Cheng Beng dan Ziarah Kubur: Studi Komparatif Antara Tradisi Tionghoa dan Islam di Labuhan Batu

This article examines the meaning of the Cheng Beng ritual in the Chinese-Buddhist tradition and the Grave Pilgrimage in Islamic teachings in Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra. These two practices were chosen because they both represent a form of respect for ancestors, but come from different religious traditions. Cheng Beng is carried out through cleaning graves, burning prayer paper and offering food, while Pilgrimage to the Grave emphasizes prayer and contemplation of death without the element of material offerings. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to explore the experiences and meanings of ritual actors from both communities. The results of the study show that although there are fundamental differences in theological aspects and forms of practice, both have similar social values, such as respect for ancestors, strengthening family ties, and cleaning graves as a form of respect. These findings show that interfaith cultural practices have the potential to strengthen the values of tolerance, social cohesion, and harmony between religious communities. Thus, understanding the meaning of religious rituals in a multicultural society such as Labuhanbatu is important to support an inclusive and harmonious social life.

Analisis Efektivitas Pastoral Hukum Perkawinan Gereja Katolik terhadap Prosesi Nikah Adat Suku Dayak Banyadu Kalimantan Barat

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Catholic Church's pastoral care for marriage in traditional marriages of the Dayak Banyadu people in Banyuke Hulu, West Kalimantan. The study was conducted using a mixed methods research method with a sequential explanatory design. The results showed that the level of respondents' understanding of the Dayak Banyadu traditional marriage procession and Church marriage law reached a very good percentage (80.00%), indicating adequate understanding among traditional leaders. However, the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Catholic Church's legal care for marriage still showed less than optimal results. This finding was reinforced by the results of interviews with three key informants who consistently stated that the care had not been effective. Field observations confirmed that the process of integrating Catholic Church marriage law into the Dayak Banyadu traditional marriage procession had been implemented.

This study examines the practice of medicine using Qur'anic verses that occurred in Sei Dadap-Kisaran, North Sumatra, within the framework of the Living Qur'an. This practice is part of the religious heritage that is still preserved and developed in the community, and is carried out by local figures such as Mr. Shobari and Mr. Ponidi. This research employs a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that people not only understand the Qur'an textually, but also operationalize it in their daily lives, especially when facing diseases and non-physical disorders. The community widely accepts this practice because it is considered effective in providing inner peace, strengthening spirituality, and fostering a sense of dependence on Allah SWT. From the perspective of sharia and faith, this method falls under the category of ruqyah syar'iyyah, which is justified as long as it does not contain elements of shirk or deviant practices. The study also confirms that Qur'anic medicine is not intended to replace medical treatment, but rather serves as a complementary therapy that strengthens the religious and social dimensions of society. These findings demonstrate how the concept of the Living Qur'an is actualized in the form of contextual, spiritual, and socially impactful treatment practices.

Rejection of leaders of different religions, ethnicities and so on is the main in the 2017 DKI Jakarta Governor Election, especially narratives of indigenous and non-indigenous sentiment. The church should take a role in responding to this problem. The research method that the author will use in this paper is the qualitative method of descriptive analysis. The author will also analyze the problem of why ethnicity is used as a political tool and will explore how the issue of ethnicity occurs in Indonesia and the functional role of the church in seeing this. This research uses theories about identity politics, religion in the public sphere by Habermas, Talcott Parsons' structural functionalism and Hendropuspito's religious functionalism. In a social society, of course religion as a social institution has a role and function in responding to situations that occur around it. The church does not mean being silent but has a prophetic voice to respond to this. This shows an important transformative role, namely instilling the value of renewing understanding in church members and the surrounding community about the importance of living together in a multiethnic society.

Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) is one of the Islamic organizations in Indonesia. In the current digital era, with the advancement of communication technology, especially in the field of smartphone technology, it has provided many conveniences that are useful in life, but on the other hand, it has also provided many disadvantages. The purpose of this discussion is to plan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) da'wah efforts in addressing online gambling behavior within the Batang Toru District community. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research. The results of the study show that, in the context of da'wah, the strategies developed to eradicate online gambling are varied. Therefore, serious thinking and movement are needed for da'i to anticipate the onslaught of online gambling sites and activities. Because of the complexity of the causes of the spread of online gambling, its eradication also requires a planned and organized strategy. The first step in planning da'wah is to recognize the real conditions of society. For suggestions, NU can conduct a needs assessment through a participatory approach, such as community discussions, local surveys, and in-depth interviews with community leaders. With accurate data, da'wah planning can be arranged contextually.

The Qur’an, as the word of Allah, holds a central position in Islamic teachings and functions as a timeless source of law. A crucial aspect of interpretation lies in the linguistic analysis of words that may appear similar in translation but differ in semantic meaning, such as khair, ṭayyib, and ḥasan. This study aims to examine the semantic differences among these three terms based on the Tafsīr Tanwīr at-Tanzīl by Imam al-Bayḍāwī. Employing a qualitative approach with semantic analysis as its method, the study also incorporates data triangulation and methodological techniques to ensure the validity of its findings. The results indicate that al-Bayḍāwī provides a rich and contextual interpretation: khair is defined as goodness encompassing both material and spiritual dimensions; ṭayyib is understood as something good both outwardly and inwardly, aligning with the principles of lawfulness and blessing; while ḥasan refers to a form of goodness that includes aesthetic, moral, and spiritual values. These findings highlight the importance of linguistic approaches in Qur’anic interpretation and demonstrate al-Bayḍāwī’s significant contribution to the expansion of Islamic scholarship through a holistic exegetical methodology.

This study aims to analyze the meaning of the word marriage in the Qur'an using a semantic approach developed by Toshihiko Izutsu. This approach includes an analysis of basic meaning, relational meaning, the structure of meaning in the Qur'anic value system (weltanschauung), as well as a comparison of pre-Qur'anic and Qur'anic meanings. This study uses a phenomenological method with a literature study strategy to explore the meaning of words in the text of the Qur'an while reflecting on the social experiences that develop in society. The results of the study show that the meaning of the word marriage from the pre-Qur'anic to the post-Qur'anic period remains consistent as a sacred and legal bond or agreement between two individuals. The Qur'an emphasizes that marriage aims to create a sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah domestic life. However, in the contemporary social context, this meaning is distorted due to dysfunctional experiences in the family, inequality in gender relations, and the influence of negative narratives on social media. The phenomenon of fear of marriage is not a rejection of sharia, but a response to social failure in realizing Qur'anic values in an applicative manner.

Dinamika Sosial Masyarakat Multikultural dalam Relasi Agama di Desa Rama Agung, Bengkulu Utara

This study analyzes the dynamics of a multicultural society in interfaith relations in Rama Agung Village, North Bengkulu Regency. A descriptive qualitative case study approach was employed through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving 20 informants representing Islam, Christianity, and Hinduism. The findings reveal that social interactions occur in four main domains socio-cultural, political, economic, and religious which collectively strengthen solidarity and social cohesion. Social changes are reflected in the increasing openness of attitudes, the transformation of religious leaders’ roles into interfaith mediators, the emergence of more democratic communication patterns, and the creation of new collective cultural values. Meanwhile, social adaptation is manifested through interfaith economic cooperation, participation in cultural and religious rituals, and the establishment of inclusive local political institutions. These three dynamics interaction, change, and adaptation demonstrate that multiculturalism serves not merely as a characteristic of diversity but as a foundation for social harmony and resilience at the local level.

Eksplorisasi Peningkatan Literasi Baca Tulis dan Pemahaman Fiqih Melalui Penggunaan Buku ABACAGA Cepat

This study aims to explore the improvement of reading–writing literacy skills and understanding of fiqh through the use of the ABACAGA Fast Book as an innovative learning medium for Indonesian immigrant children in Malaysia. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method, conducted over one month at PKBM PNF KBRI Malaysia. The findings revealed that the use of the ABACAGA Fast Book significantly improved the children’s ability to read, write, and understand basic Indonesian vocabulary. Children who initially struggled to recognize letters began reading simple words and sentences after four weeks of intensive mentoring. Moreover, the integration of basic fiqh materials such as the procedures of wudu, shalat, and daily manners enhanced the students’ religious understanding and practice. The ABACAGA Fast Book proved to be an effective learning tool for promoting literacy in a joyful, contextual, and spiritually meaningful way among Indonesian immigrant children, especially in non-formal education settings abroad.

Using stories related to students' daily situations and combined with initial interaction through prayer and preparation of teaching materials. Effectiveness of using stories: This method is effective in improving students' spiritual intelligence. The stories told make it easier for students to understand and apply spiritual values such as honesty, love and forgiveness. Continuous evaluation: This evaluation is conducted to see changes in behavior, attitudes, and the application of moral and spiritual values in students' lives.

This research examines the application of modern hermeneutical approaches to Qur'anic interpretation in the contemporary era, analyzing the integration of Western interpretive theories with classical Islamic exegetical traditions. Using qualitative library research methodology with textual, comparative, and conceptual approaches, the study investigates how contemporary Muslim scholars navigate between traditional tafsir methodologies and modern hermeneutical frameworks. Classical exegetical methods developed by scholars like al-Tabari, al-Zamakhshari, and al-Razi remain authoritative but were formulated in specific historical contexts. Contemporary challenges including gender equality, religious pluralism, bioethics, democratic governance, and human rights require new interpretive tools. Pioneering scholars such as Fazlur Rahman, Nasr Hamid Abu Zayd, Mohammed Arkoun, and Amina Wadud have applied hermeneutical concepts emphasizing the distinction between eternal principles and historically conditioned forms. However, traditionalist scholars criticize these approaches for potentially relativizing divine guidance. The research proposes an integrative hermeneutical framework combining classical Islamic concepts like asbab al-nuzul and maqasid al-shariah with Western hermeneutical theory, particularly attention to context and dialogical understanding. This framework requires clear methodological criteria, theological safeguards, and procedural transparency. The findings demonstrate that successful integration maintains Islamic theological integrity while incorporating valuable interpretive insights addressing contemporary Muslim realities, providing methodological guidance for scholars and religious educators.

This study aims to map the implementation of children’s and adolescents’ faith formation at Saint Hieronimus Pinem Station using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model within a qualitative descriptive approach. In this research, the CIPP model is applied as an analytical framework rather than a quantitative measurement tool. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the real conditions influencing the faith formation program. The findings show that the program still faces several challenges, including low parental involvement, the influence of digital technology, limited human resources, and traditional teaching methods. The study recommends continuous needs assessment, structured planning, and creative pastoral methods suited to the local context. The qualitative CIPP model proves effective in systematically analyzing and improving pastoral programs according to real community needs.

This study was motivated by an awareness of the meaning and value of local wisdom contained in the Marapu Wano ritual speech, as the true essence of culture is beginning to fade and the younger generation has little knowledge of how to preserve their cultural roots amid technological developments. The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the cultural practices and meanings of Marapu Wano ritual speech in the context of the culture that underlies it. The research method used was descriptive qualitative research. The results of the study show that the Marapu Wano ritual speech contains ecological meanings that reflect the harmonious relationship between humans and nature, religious meanings that affirm the belief system in ancestral spirits and the Creator, social meanings that strengthen solidarity and social order in the community, and meanings of supplication expressed through ritual prayers as a means of conveying hopes for safety, fertility, and prosperity in life. Thus, the Marapu Wano ritual speech can be understood as a cultural value system that plays an important role in maintaining the ecological, spiritual, and social balance of the Tana Righu community in West Sumba.

Teologi Kemakmuran dan Problematika Hermeneutik Alkitabiah

This article aims to critically evaluate prosperity theology by highlighting the underlying biblical hermeneutical problems, especially in the use of key verses such as John 10:10 and Philippians 4:19. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method, through theological, historical, and hermeneutical analysis of relevant academic literature and theological sources. The results of the study show that prosperity theology contains serious weaknesses in its eisegetical and reductive interpretation of the Bible, thereby obscuring the meaning of the Gospel, which centres on the cross, suffering, and discipleship. Interpretations that are detached from the historical and linguistic context of the biblical text not only give rise to a materialistic understanding of blessings, but also have an impact on the crisis of spirituality, pastoral violence, and the weakening of church community solidarity. This article asserts that the problem of prosperity theology is not limited to doctrinal aspects, but reflects a hermeneutical and spiritual crisis in the contemporary church.

This study aims to analyze catechism education and examine the implementation of the principle of Total Quality Management in improving the quality of faith formation. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method. The results of the study show that catechism education at GMIH is still understood reductively as an administrative requirement for sidi, not as a development of faith. In addition, the curriculum and teaching materials used are not yet relevant to the socio-cultural context and contemporary challenges of the congregation that have been formulated in the 33 Principles of Theology and Teachings of GMIH. From a quality management perspective, catechism education has not been focused on students, and decision-making has not been done based on data. Therefore, it is necessary to update the contextual catechization curriculum, revise teaching materials, and prepare technical instructions as a rail for the implementation of education.

This study aims to analyze passenger safety and security risks of pioneer ships operating at Sorong Port using a systemic perspective based on the Systemic Accident Model. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed. The findings indicate that maritime safety risks are shaped by the interaction of three main factors: technical factors, including limited vessel seaworthiness and predominantly reactive maintenance practices; human factors, characterized by high workload, crew fatigue, and weak safety culture; and environmental factors, such as dynamic sea conditions and insufficient navigational aids at the port. These results demonstrate that the safety management of pioneer vessels at Sorong Port has not yet been optimally implemented. Therefore, enhancing maritime safety requires an integrated safety management system that encompasses fleet modernization, improvement of crew competence and safety awareness, and strengthening port infrastructure and safety oversight.

This study aims todescribe the efforts of Christian Religious Education teachers in instillinghonesty and responsibility in students of class X TKR A at SMK Karsa MulyaPalangka Raya. Character education is very important, especially in today'schallenging and changing times. Character education is also equally importantin vocational education for the future and the world of work. This studyused a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collectedthrough direct observation, interviews, and document collection. The results of thestudy show that PAK teachers actively teach the values of honesty andresponsibility through classroom lessons, set a good example in theirdaily attitudes, and provide direct guidance and encouragement to students. Teachersalso invite students to participate in practical activities and discussions so that they betterunderstand and can apply the values of honesty and responsibility intheir daily lives. This process is aided by support from theschool and family environment, as well as the teachers' friendly and approachable manner towards students. However,there are also obstacles such as the influence of the environment outside of school and a lack ofawareness from the students themselves.

Islamic Religious Education learning is still focused on memorization aspects without providing sufficient space for thinking, this makes students' interest in exploring, questioning and discussing PAI materials actively still low, which ultimately many students take PAI lessons merely to fulfill academic obligations, and PAI learning has not consistently touched the emotional and spiritual aspects of students, resulting in many students not understanding Islamic values completely both logically and emotionally. The purpose of this study is to analyze the condition of students'interest in learning PAI, analyze the application of ESQ in PAI learning, and identify factors that inhibit the strengthening of students' interest in learning in the context of ESQ in PAI learning. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study type. The results of this study indicate that strengthening learning interest in the context of ESQ in Islamic Religious Education learning has been implemented, as evidenced by their increasing enthusiasm, confidence, and deeper understanding of religious values when learning is implemented with a variety.

Strategi Guru Aqidah Akhlak dalam Mengembangkan Karakter Religius Siswa

This study aims to analyze the strategies of Aqidah Akhlak teachers in instilling religious values, the implementation of steps to form religious character, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors at MTs PAB 1 Helvetia. The study used a qualitative descriptive method. The results show the teachers' implementation of habituation, role modelling, and reinforcement strategies through routine activities such as prayer, tadarus, yasinan, and congregational prayer. The implementation is carried out through continuous guidance, supervision, and evaluation. Supporting factors include madrasah culture, teacher commitment, facilities, and parental support, while obstacles include differences in student discipline, limited family support, a less conducive external environment, and challenging classroom supervision. Teacher strategies play an important role in shaping students' religious character.

Digital Hospitality: Integrating the Local Culture of Hidup Orang Basudara for Interreligious Dialogue in Maluku

This article aims to delve into the community’s cultural values, exemplified by the ethos of “hidup orang basudara” (living together as brothers and sisters) which embodies hospitality in Maluku’s multicultural and multi-ethnic communities. By recognizing hospitality as fundamental necessary for the development of continuous inter-religious dialogue, an elaborate and creative exploration of the philosophy of “hidup orang basudara” is conducted. Using a literature review approach encompassing selected books, scholarly journals, and previous research, depth interview, observation, this article analyzes and interprets data to enrich the discourse on alternative pathways for continuous inter-religious dialogue in Ambon- Maluku. The result of this study show that the philosophy of “hidup orang basudara” gas bacome an alternative developments in continuous inter-religious dialogue in Maluku can enrich the praxis of inter-religious dialogue efforts aimed at nurturing peace in the land of Maluku. The integration of local culture and digital innovation forms a “digital hospitality” that strengthens interfaith tolerance in the city of Ambon and promotes sustainable interreligious dialogue.

Penilaian Pendidikan Agama Kristen Berbasis Outcome-Based Education: Kerangka Konseptual dan Implikasi Pedagogis

This study aims to formulate a conceptual framework for Outcome-Based Education (OBE) assessment in Christian Religious Education and to examine its pedagogical implications. Employing a qualitative approach, this conceptual study is conducted through a library research method by analyzing relevant literature on OBE, educational assessment, and Christian Religious Education. Data analysis is carried out using content analysis and conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that OBE-based assessment in Christian Religious Education should be developed through constructive alignment among learning outcomes, performance indicators, instructional strategies, and authentic assessment covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains in an integrated manner. Assessment is positioned not merely as an evaluative tool but also as a pedagogical and pastoral means that fosters faith reflection and continuous improvement. The novelty of this study lies in proposing a conceptual framework for OBE-based assessment in Christian Religious Education that integrates outcome-oriented educational principles with the transformative goals of Christian faith education.

Symbolic Action: Representation of Bugis-Makassar Ethnicity through Palomba Lopi-lopi in West Nusa Tenggara

This study examines Palomba Lopi-lopi, a traditional mini sailboat game from Labuhan Kertasari, NTB, as a symbolic representation of migration and Bugis-Makassar ethnic identity. Using Symbolic Action Theory and historical qualitative methods, the study finds that this game is not merely entertainment, but is rich in profound philosophical values. Lopi-lopi symbolizes independence and harmony with nature, while the sea breeze represents human-environment collaboration. The straight course and wide finish line reflect the importance of strategy and precision in achieving goals, while the use of natural materials (kapok wood) underscores local wisdom. The Palomba Lopi-lopi also serves as a historical marker of the Bugis-Makassar ethnic group's migration to Sumbawa following the Bongaya Treaty (1667) and as a form of resistance against Dutch colonialism. Through this game, the community of Labuhan Kertasari preserves their ancestral cultural identity amid the challenges of globalization. Research findings emphasize the importance of preserving this maritime cultural heritage of the Nusantara through documentation and integration into education.
